DARE Dance Regional Manager
Baltimore, Houston and Philadelphia programs

Julie Peoples-Clark has performed at major venues including the Lincoln Center in New York City, The Kennedy Center in DC, The Painted Bride Art Center in Philadelphia, The Conduit in Portland, OR, and Dance Place in DC.
The Washington Post recently wrote, “Julie Peoples moved with a pleasing quality at once weighty and fluid, like melted caramel.” She has toured nationally with the Pennsylvania Dance Theatre, Pittsburgh Ballet, Pittsburgh Dance Theater, Baltimore Voiceworks, Doug Hamby Dance, Beth Davis In good company, Debora Riley Dance Projects, Bernasconi Aerial Dance and Phoenix Dance Company.
Julie has received grants from the Maryland State Arts Council and The Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences to support her work. Her choreography has been showcased at the American College Dance Festival, Glen Echo Hall of Mirrors, Towson University, Essex Community College, The Baltimore Museum of Art, The Columbia Center for the Arts, Dance Place DC, Dance Space NYC, and Roland Park Country School.
Dance Magazine wrote, “In her choreography, Peoples dissects the bodies when they are apart and makes them whole again when they join as a couple."Julie has served on the dance faculty of UMBC, Roland Park Country School, Pennsylvania Dance Theatre School, and The Bryn Mawr School; and directed the dance companies at the Bryn Mawr School and Harford Community College. Currently, Julie the National Project Coordination and Baltimore/Philadelphia Regional Manager for DARE America’s Dance Program.
