D.A.R.E. America / International Postpones 2020 International Training Conference

D.A.R.E. communities, schools, and families throughout America and the world continue to cope with a multitude of challenges regarding shelter-at-home orders, travel restrictions, and social distancing requirements necessitated by the current COVID-19 health crisis.

Recognizing the unpredictable conditions that exist now and will continue to do so throughout 2020, D.A.R.E. America/International has been in direct communication with D.A.R.E. Mexico and the Grand Fiesta Americana Beach Hotel in Cancun, Mexico, regarding the need to reschedule the July 7th- 9th 2020 D.A.R.E. International Training Conference to a later date.

While we would have preferred to conduct a highly successful International Training Conference this year that would have celebrated D.A.R.E. Mexico’s 30th anniversary, the health, safety, and security of the attendees, as well as our staff and everyone’s families are the most important priorities. Therefore, it has been collectively decided to reschedule this Conference and location to July 19-21, 2022.

Important Information 

• There will NOT be a 2020 International Training Conference.
• The International Training Conference at the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach, Cancun, Mexico, is now rescheduled to July 19-21, 2022.
• Reimbursements: 2020 conference registrations already received will be refunded starting June 1st, 2020. For more information, please email Lucia at D.A.R.E.
• If you have already reserved a room(s) at the Grand Fiesta Americana, you must contact the hotel yourself and CANCEL your reservation(s). All refunds will be given starting June 1st, 2020.
• If you have already reserved airport transfers with Tropical Incentives, all refunds will be given starting June 1st, 2020.
• 2021 International Training Conference Location: Forthcoming…stay tuned!
