CAITLIN WALKER

D.A.R.E. America Youth Advocacy Board Alumna from Virginia

My name is Caitlin Walker and I am excited to be the Youth Advocacy Board Representative for the State of Virginia! I am currently a senior at Eastern View High School, located in Culpeper, Virginia. I live with my mom, dad, two brothers, and dog, Tazer. I am a very outgoing person and never hesitate to meet new friends! Next year I have hopes to attend a 4 year university and study communication and English. I am a big sports fan and enjoy playing field hockey, basketball, and softball. In my free time I like to hang out with my friends and family or just lay around and watch Netflix.

I have been lucky enough to serve as the State Representative for the past 3 years. I have been able to work on the past two projects and meet some of the amazing representatives from the other states. I first learned about D.A.R.E. when I was in 6th grade and we took the course in P.E. class. I then would help every summer at our local summer Sheriff Sports camps, which helped me develop a close relationship to the officers in my town. I have always had admiration to help others and I believe this program is a great way to not only meet new people, but also help educate them on the importance of D.A.R.E. I look forward to this year as I hope to get more involved with other counties in my state. I am beyond excited to see the opportunities to come my way!
