Emma Sawin

D.A.R.E. America Youth Advocacy Board Member from California

Hi! My name is Emma Sawin, and I am a freshman at Tracy High in California.

I am a competitive baton twirler and have competed nationally and internationally. I also am a cheerleader for my school and in the Ag/Science Academy Program. I still have not yet figured out my major for college but hoping this journey might help me discover my interests.

I am a middle child out of three sisters, and I have two pet cats, Ollie and Charlie.

I was in D.A.R.E. when I was in the fifth grade. It taught me so much on how to live a better life and inspired me to become a better person by setting goals and working hard to accomplish them. I am excited to help others in my community be their best self by making smart decisions.

I have volunteered for the Brighter Christmas program in my community where we collect toys and food for the less fortunate. I have also taught baton-twirling classes to the underprivileged youth.

Accepting this opportunity to represent California as a YAB is such an honor and I am so excited to get started!
