D.A.R.E. Mentors will show you new ways to teach current elementary and middle school D.A.R.E. Lessons. Several lessons will be featured along with creative ways to enhance current essays and projects. Participants will be taught how to tie in D.A.R.E. Supplemental lessons to current curriculum. Information and discussions will be lead on Vaping and Juuls.

Officer Brent Forgey has been in Law Enforcement for 29 years. He has been actively teaching the Elementary D.A.R.E. Program for 25 years and middle school for 23 years. He has been a Mentor on the Missouri D.A.R.E. Training Team for 20 years. In 2016 he was picked for an International Training Team that taught Philippine Police Officers how to teach the new D.A.R.E. Curriculum. He teaches at the Missouri D.A.R.E. Officers Association Conferences every year on Curriculum or active shooter. He currently teaches at the Drury College Police Academy. Courses include Crime Prevention and D.A.R.E. He has taught at the International D.A.R.E. Officers Association Conference in the past on How to Use Puppets in the Classroom, and Refuse To Be a Victim Courses.

Sergeant Christine Rapp is a D.A.R.E. America Mentor and has been D.A.R.E. Officer at the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department in Indiana for 20 years.

She said, “My favorite part of the D.A.R.E. program is the first day of each new class. I love when kids tell me I had their brother or sister and they are so excited to finally be in my class!”
