Dear Luna,

There are Ronald McDonald House miracles every day. Sometimes the miracles are medical. Other times, they show in the love that embraces families through small acts of kindness from strangers. Each day we feel the miracles of love and warmth that permeate this home.

Today 64 families will stay with us at our Houses in Durham and Raleigh. Hundreds of parents, grandparents and other caregivers will stop by the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Duke and WakeMed. Here they will have a few moments of rest, perhaps a meal or snack. A volunteer will offer to help with the family laundry. Parents will sit for a moment to simply reflect, or pray, before returning to their child’s bedside just down the hall.

These every-day miracles are made possible by you. Ronald McDonald House can only happen because of the love and support of our friends. Your financial donations, your gifts of time, and your love shine a light of hope for families at the toughest of times. Because of you, parents can focus on their children’s treatment without worry about where they will stay or how they will feed the family for another day. Because of you, families are embraced in a community of love, a home away from home, while their children fight big battles.

Thank you for keeping families close. Thank you for your generous donation. Thank you for your love.
