Lincoln Police officer Chad Eimer along with Logan County deputy Jason Rohrer and deputy Trent Park graduated from the 80 hour Illinois D.A.R.E. Officer Training held last week at the Plainfield Police Department in Plainfield, Illinois.

Officer Eimer now joins Lincoln Police Officer Christy Fruge and Corporal Shawn Pettit teaching D.A.R.E. to Lincoln students. Eimer has been with the Lincoln Police for over four years and previously was employed with Clinton Police Department. Rohrer has been with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office for four years Deputy and Park has been with the Sheriff’s Office for over three years. Both Rohrer and Park will be teaching DARE to youth in schools around Logan County.

D.A.R.E. has made great strides over the years to change the curriculum to psychology based and help teach our youth to make good decisions. D.A.R.E. is part of the Lincoln Police Strategic Plan on reducing drugs and alcohol abuse in our community. It also is an objective of the Logan County Opioid Taskforce in helping educate our next generation.

The D.A.R.E. class was held in Plainfield, Illinois, and Lincoln Officer Christy Fruge donated her personal time to help teach the class that had officers from all over Illinois including Kentucky, Ohio, and Iowa. Fruge became a D.A.R.E. instructor at the National Level in 2018.

Sheriff Mark Landers and Chief Paul Adams congratulate Rohrer, Park and Eimer on graduating from this program as it [sic] one of the most demanding training classes they will attend.
