Chief Financial Officer

Tammy Mowery joined D.A.R.E. America in 2017 as its Chief Financial Officer following a career of more than twenty years in the field of accounting of which she spent fourteen plus years as a Financial Controller.  Her career has provided her a broad skillset and hands-on approach through a variety of experiences at the executive level of Accounting and Human Resources Management across several industries.

Most recently she spent three years as Controller of Gordon and Schwenkmeyer, one of the leading small donor telemarketing/fundraising firms in America serving political and charitable causes nationwide.  Her financial management responsibilities included supervision, set up, and streamlining of the accounting department and overall organization, as well as the pivotal role of financial reporting for two companies.

Other financial management positions she has held include Controller for American Guard Services, a company with more than 1200 employees in the security guard and maintenance industries, and ten years as Controller of Valet Parking Services, a Los Angeles-based company with 600 employees and over 70 separate locations.   Other related experience include working as an Accounting Manager in the Real Estate/Property Management and Professional Maintenance Services industries.

Tammy attended Temple University and West Chester University in Pennsylvania where she earned a B.S. in Accounting, and a B.A. in Communications with a Minor in Theatre.
