On April 25th, 2024, D.A.R.E. Iowa completed its 45th D.A.R.E. Officer Training. The training was held at Camp Dodge in Johnston. We were honored to have officers in attendance from the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Oregon, Kansas, Missouri, Indiana, New Mexico, and Iowa. Lt. Sheri Hall facilitated the training and John Sheahan was our educator. All 15 Officers completed the certification with a visit to Lakewood Elementary in Norwalk, Iowa. We are fortunate to have this school partnership for the training and the teacher evaluations were excellent. The school visit is the highlight of the training, and we are glad to announce that all in attendance were granted certification as our newest group of D.A.R.E. Officers. D.A.R.E. Iowa thanks those that traveled far and brought so much to this class. All will do well upon their return home. Wishing them the best as they work with the students in their schools.
