Deputy Maurisa Salmond (SRO/D.A.R.E. Instructor), Sgt. Kevin Griffin (Guest Speaker) R.C.S.D. Gang Unit, Will Browder (overall D.A.R.E. essay winner), Traveon Moses-Muldrow (class winner), Coleman Hughes (class winner), Zoe Smith (class winner), Rhys Hoy (class winner), Lt. V. Rhodes SRO/D.A.R.E. Unit R.C.S.D., and Deputy Arlene Sharpe (S.C. D.A.R.E. Coordinator/Director)

The D.A.R.E. graduates got a strong visual with Sgt. Griffins presentation of what can happen to you when you make bad decision when RISK is involved. Sgt. Griffin shared with the students how important it is to choose your friends wisely and know that over time, you may have to find new friends. Remember a real friend will not do anything to get you in trouble. Always know that you have the POWER of Knowledge and you are a most important person!

Deputy Salmond is so proud of her 1st year D.A.R.E. students. When Will Browder took the stage to share his D.A.R.E. essay it was evident that Deputy Salmond had put her best effort into helping her students to make wise decision for life. We the staff of Richland County Sheriff’s Department as well as Principal Davis are proud of the 5th D.A.R.E. students and of Deputy Salmond!
