PROERD Mentor Officer Training – Santa Catarina, Brazil

The training of PROERD/D.A.R.E. Mentors has commenced this Monday, October 17th, 2022. It is being conducted by the PROERD/D.A.R.E. Training Center of the Military Police of the State of Santa Catarina, South Brazil. In all, 36 PROERD instructors are currently in the training, of which 29 are from Santa Catarina, and 7 are from other Brazilian states. The training is taking place in the city of Florianópolis and runs until this Friday, October 21st.

In the 40-hour Mentor Officer Training (MOT), these future mentors will develop skills and qualities to be able to train new PROERD officers, strengthening and keeping PROERD active in Brazil.

Like the other PROERD/D.A.R.E. training centers in Brazil, the State of Santa Catarina Training Center strictly follows the guidelines established by D.A.R.E. America, ensuring compliance with the program’s methodology.
