Durante casi cuarenta años, D.A.R.E. se ha dedicado a la seguridad, la salud y el bienestar de los estudiantes. D.A.R.E. es el programa de educación para la prevención más completo y ampliamente enseñado en el mundo. Más de 3 millones de estudiantes de K-12 en todo Estados Unidos y otros 29 países reciben cada año los planes de estudios de D.A.R.E. basados en evidencia y de eficacia comprobada.
La35ª Conferencia Internacional Anual de Capacitación D.A.R.E., organizada conjuntamente con el Consejo de Defensa de la Seguridad Escolar (School Safety Advocacy Council), proporcionará a los instructores D.A.R.E., SRO, educadores y tomadores de decisiones clave con información vital y herramientas de prevención para ayudar a prepararse, lidiar y responder a las importantes crisis de salud y seguridad que enfrentan los estudiantes, la policía y las escuelas en 2023 y más allá. Estos incluyen:
- Aumentos significativos en el abuso de sustancias, particularmente el abuso de opioides;
- Las consecuencias para la salud y la seguridad del vapeo estudiantil;
- Crisis de salud mental de los estudiantes, incluida la depresión, la intimidación y la ideación suicida;
