D.A.R.E. Region 2 Director

Prior to joining D.A.R.E. America, Craig Seibel spent 29 years in law enforcement. He began his career with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in Corvallis, Oregon. Craig transferred to the Salem Police Department where he served during the next 26 years. He retired in 2021 as the Lieutenant of the Gervais Police Department.

Craig worked in a wide variety of assignments including Corrections, Patrol, Street Crimes, Personnel and Training, Youth Services, and Crime Prevention. His additional duties included Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, Armorer, and S.W.A.T. In 2002, Craig became a D.A.R.E. Officer. Over the next 19 years, he made a positive impact in the lives of more than 17,000 students in 36 different schools.

Craig was active in the Oregon D.A.R.E. Officers Association as the Sergeant-At-Arms, Vice-President and President. He spent 9 years as the Oregon D.A.R.E. Training Coordinator. During his tenure, Craig hosted D.A.R.E. Officer Trainings (DOT) and helped as a member of the D.A.R.E. Instructor Advisory Committee (DIAC).

In 2006, Craig was awarded the Oregon D.A.R.E. Officer of the Year. In recognition to his long-term commitment to the D.A.R.E. program, Craig was the recipient of the 2018 D.A.R.E. America’s Daryl F. Gates Lifetime Achievement Award.

Craig is a graduate of Western Oregon University holding a Bachelor of Science in the Social Sciences. He holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Linn Benton Community College. Craig is also a veteran of the United States Army Reserve.

Craig’s region includes: Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, TennesseeUtah, and Wyoming.
